Kenya’s population has a very low corona vaccination rate. Less than 5 percent of the entire population has been fully vaccinated to date. While the vaccine was scarce at first, it is now more due to the lack of acceptance by Kenyans. However, the government has now announced new and very strict measures in the fight against the corona virus, which come very close to compulsory vaccination. As the first country in Africa, the Kenyan Ministry of Health is striving to implement numerous measures, including in the area of ​​entry regulations. According to this, from December 21, 2021, only travelers from Europe will be allowed to enter Kenya if they are fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n

Entry for vaccinated only: national parks, hotels and bars<\/h2>\n

The Ministry of Health is also planning that only vaccinated people will have access to national parks<\/a>, hotels, bars and numerous public facilities. This should therefore also apply to visitors to hospitals and educational institutions, for example. Also from December 21, 2021, there is even talk of compulsory vaccination, which is to be introduced for employees in numerous public areas, including schools and educational institutions.<\/p>\n

Understandably, these ideas are met with a complete lack of understanding among the general public, partly because of the currently very low number of corona cases.
